Now with Vista the TWAIN doesn't function so I have to scan it blind almost. They seemed a bit pale - that could be a combination of shiny paper and shiny pencil. If I compensated for this, the colours shifted and looked peculiar. D'oh! It's okay.Ian russellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11106519805045337505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7256991403049450428.post-76666984091988971522008-05-15T00:28:00.000-07:002008-05-15T00:28:00.000-07:00thanks all, glad you like 'em.Ian - what are your ...thanks all, glad you like 'em.

Ian - what are your scanner difficulties? your last scans seemed ok. I just lay it on, close the lid, and a heavy book on top just for good measure (prob. not needed, but it's a habit).
Hmm - i always sharpen the scan after too - in PShop, that's Filter>Sharpen, then I hit Fade (Shift+CTRL+F), which is the reverse of Sharpen, which allows me to adjust the amount of Sharpness I apply, cos 100% is usually too much - it usually ends up between 25% and 60%.Johnnynormshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10172012735385704093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7256991403049450428.post-61540109767273186262008-05-12T19:42:00.000-07:002008-05-12T19:42:00.000-07:00Norms in full effect here--good good stuff man!Norms in full effect here--good good stuff man!stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08302940112403120398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7256991403049450428.post-59274710921679568732008-05-12T07:31:00.000-07:002008-05-12T07:31:00.000-07:00I just made the doors filters one bog and studied ...I just made the doors filters one bog and studied it closer and it's SUPER! :-D Lots going on, cool angles and nice variation in line weight.Mary Stebbins Taitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10626507461216769140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7256991403049450428.post-56614981775839378982008-05-12T07:07:00.000-07:002008-05-12T07:07:00.000-07:00The strumerama is really fun and evocative! The strumerama is really fun and evocative!Mary Stebbins Taitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10626507461216769140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7256991403049450428.post-48994511060495985732008-05-12T07:06:00.000-07:002008-05-12T07:06:00.000-07:00I am totally with Ian here, I'd love everyone to d...I am totally with Ian here, I'd love everyone to do a self-portrait in my book, if they are upo to it, I love self portraits.

These are very cool, love the random spread of keys.Mary Stebbins Taitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10626507461216769140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7256991403049450428.post-6719479560986715432008-05-12T02:29:00.000-07:002008-05-12T02:29:00.000-07:00great to see a self-portrait in there, John.
