Oh man oh man oh man

Here is what I just finished in Baggelboy's mole... Sorry for being um... 20 days late with this one. O_o

Andrea, I will mail to you tomorrow!

pg 1-2 in Baggelboy's mole

pg 3-4 in Baggelboy's mole

pg 5-6 in Baggelboy's mole

pg 7-8 in Baggelboy's mole

Found paper is from a very old falling-apart copy of Kipling's Kim (which I have never read). This is done with gouache and Micron pens, over washes of salted walnut ink...

WOW! Utterly delightful and fascinating! Very cool use of found paper and neato inks!

This was certainly worth the wait though Jess. How weird - yesterday I was thinking of doing some art based on topographical maps of local hiking trails! Anyhow, these are beautiful!

Thanks guys!

Steve-- you should try it. There's so many amazing natural patterns, seen from above... I think they are a good starting point for illustration because they can give natural, beautiful, interesting structure...

I'm glad we live in an age where we even get to see our world from above. Awesome.

Also, if anyone is interested in natural patterns (and I have used this book as reference for art before), check this out... Li: Dynamic Form in Nature. :)
