Sharing With Mary in Stephanie's Book

THIS is Mary's post of the beginning of our drawing. I missed the part where it was about the friend working on a car. I assumed it was finger painting time, which is what I assume about most things.

Andrea's Mole in Vietnam Round 3

I never did post all the pages from Andrea's mole before sending it off to Gretchen. It is a world traveling book, since it's now in Hawaii with Gretchen. Here are the images I completed, most done during the weekend while I was in a heavenly beach resort called Phan Thiet in Vietnam. The rest were done en route to or from Vietnam.

When I asked my daughters what I should do on Mike's collab piece, they immediately said, "Worm on a hook!" Which is what I did, although there's room for further collaboration if anyone wants to join in later on:



This piece kept me awake once I landed in San Francisco after the long flight home. I exaggerated a bit about how long I'd been traveling. Door-to-door, from my hotel in Vietnam to my house in Corrales, I was in transit for about 24 hours. But believe me, sitting in the airport lounge trying to stay awake, it felt like I'd been on the road for at least 36.



I was already at least ten days late so I rushed to do this collab piece for Gretchen. Not to mention, my black pen was almost out of ink!

Whew, sorry it's been so long since I've participated here. I finally got some work in Ballookey's book and it's ready to send out. I ended up gluing in some of my drawings/paintings after a major messed up attempt at painting on these pages, intended for drawing. So, this was the only way I could fix the situation at hand. I threw a mix CD and a Splotch Monster in your gift pocket as well Ballookey, so I hope you enjoy 'em.  Mary, I also started a drawing for you to collaborate on as well in there! It's been a lot of fun doing round 2 and I wish I could participate in 3, but new responsibilities and priorities have come my way this time around. Thanks to everyone for their wonderful art, inspiration and encouragement. Thanks especially to you Andrea, for getting the ball rolling and keeping it alive!

splotch monster collaborations

Hi all! I guess since some of us are waiting around for some sketchbooks to arrive, I was wondering if anyone here might be interested in trying out some collaborations using some of my paint splotches posted here at my new blog, A Splotch Monster A Day. You can print out paint splotches and draw directly on them, or work on them using software like Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. Above is an example of some various possibilities and a collab between me, my wife and artist Pixohammer. If you do try some, let me know and I'll post 'em at the blog, along with any links you want me to include to you blogs/sites.
