Holy Guacamole!!

Are people getting their books back already? Whoa! I got an email from Mary saying she had received her Moly back. I still have Steve's book to do and I haven't even gotten it yet. Where is everyone else in the process? Would you all mind checking in here?

If you have gotten your book back, please tell me how many pages you have left in your book, this is so that I can adjust the number of pages or people for the next round. Also, please share with us what you do in your book with the remaining pages. My original idea for this exchange was for the owner to have pages in the beginning and the end. So, if you have your book and are patiently waiting for round two, show us how you are completing your book, okay?

And finally, I am working on a series of about 6 or 7 questions about the exchange, what you though, what you would change, etc. I should have those up in the next few days for y'all to answer. If you take the time to answer them thoughtfully and honestly, I will send you a gift in return. An envelope of pens perhaps? Notebooks? Other art supplies? This is just a little token of my appreciation for your dedication and commitment to this project. I wanted to send it out after everyone signed on, but never did. So ... better late than never, right?

Cheers!

I have Alan's Moleskine - working on it and hope to send it to Johnny Norms asap. I believe Willie has mine?

I do have mine back and I will count the pages and let you know--I was going to do 7-8 pieces in mine--the same as I did int he beginning, to wrap it up, but hadn't started yet.

I was going to leave the remaining pages blank. There shouldn't be too many of them. Or--I may send it to one of the new people and let her do 7-8 if she's willing. (Once I count the pages.) She might be, becasue I know she's axsious to get started.

I sent Jesse's back to her well over a month ago, so she should have hers unless it got lost in the mail.

I loved loved loved seeing everyone's work in my moley! TEXTURES! Vibrant colors. Brush and pens strokes! YAY!

I currently don't have any, but expect one soon. In the meantime, I look forward to the questions and please, Andrea, don't worry about mailing out gifts - your gift is this project to us all, and on that note, I thank you. :)

Yes, I agree--the mole we get to keep and YOUR wonderful WORK in it is gift enough.

I have Milo's and it's almost done. Will post it to Milo very soon and await mine. I haven't thought about the remaining pages. there's 17 sides in Milo's.

There are 27 sides left in mine, not counting the fly-leaf facing the back.

What did you guys think of the number of people we had? I was thinking of adding one more and making it 12, for the 12 months of the year.

Too many?

Thinner books! ;o)

more people may produce an organisational nightmare but having to do fewer pages is more appealing. the ideal for me is 50 artists each doing one double pager, each week, but I know that won't happen.

would anyone be interested in doing a watercolour molie? only 30 pages.

As Mike said, I get Alan's after him, BUT somehow my moleskine got in front and I already have it back..except I have now lent it to a friend who is adding a few pages - and I can't remember how many are left.

Regretfully I have provisionally said no to round 2, but i'll wait and see what's cooking before I make my mind up for sure.

Yeah, 50 artists would be difficult to manage! EEK

I have one of those water-colr moles--I like it. But they are sparser.

Willie does have Mike's big ass sketchbook. :-) Not finished with it yet, but will send it on when I'm done! Haven't gotten mine back yet from Ammon. xoxo
