Cool! The idea, the bandaid collage, the flying superhero in Sculpey (is he a fan of Captain Underpants, btw?), all very fun :-)
I have never used sculpey before. Am shocked at the level of DETAIL you achieved -- right down to his toenails, for cryin' out loud! What kind of tools did you use to sculpt him? How big is the figure on this? And the size of the entire plaque? I can't tell from the photo...
Rubber castings? And I thought the detail was all your talent, too bad, HA! Still, the whole collaged idea & mixed-media composition is great. So much more exciting than a flat certificate. Good show!
I hung this on Colin's office wall, however someone took it down for the VP ribbon cutting - which pissed me off I might add. I sent the HR VP at Intel a plaque for the "World's Greatest BUM (Business Update Meeting) and he laughed out loud in his cube." People need to get a sense of humor! HELLO!

The sculpey figure is about 7" long. I sculpt him by hand, but use a rubber cast for the feet, hands, and head.
I used to do fun handmade plaques all the time when I worked for Intel Corp. Handmade is so much better than corporate plaques.
