Man In My Neighborhood
I tried to draw this man that comes through my neighborhood regularly. If I am working outside he will usually give me advice. It is amazing how he does everything that I have to do so much better than me.
I absolutely love THIS ART PIECE AND YOUR COMMENT about the guy and his advice!!!!!!
Such wonderful detail.
Such salient observation!
The giving of advice always assumes the giver to be more knowledgeable and smarter than the receiver. It is a form of cruelty, unless solicited because a person actually has a skill the petitioner desires to obtain.
Ha ha, I love this guy. We have a similar lady in our neighborhood. She doesn't offer advice so much, but if we're out in our front yard she will stop and talk for ages. And she doesn't mind stomping up our little hill, over plants and newly dug beds so that she can get right up close for the conversation.
My poor husband is the one who gets really stuck because he won't cut her off. I just walk away, having realized that she's not sane enough to notice.

Agreed, sometimes the wild old sage can be a bit annoying, huh? I can see that. Lively detail and color Ammon.
He's so evocative of person--I feel as if he is someone I know.

I love this.
I wish I were courageous enough to walk away.
