Trying for a likeness

A quick sketch from life of BB in the back of the Mole from the last round, which still has a few blank pages. I'd like to be able to do likenesses. Click sketch to enlarge. I'd really like to be able to do likenesses!!!

Don't look now, Mary, but I think you just did a likeness. ;) LOL. This is a good reminder to me to try a few portraits.

Thanks, Balookey! YAY!

I want to illustrate my own kids' books.

BB was blabbing and moving and not holding still.

I don't know who this guy is, but it does look a lot like someone...
I love the hair and beard texture.
To me it looks like the very unlikely child of Hemingway and Terry Pratchett.

It's my husband.

What I'd like would be for it to look a lot like HIM! LOL!

Yeah, portraits are not a strong point for me yet, but I love this one!

I think you have done some great likenesses (is that a word) of Biker Buddy!

I like the likeness! It has a soothing look to it.

Thanks so much Steve, Andrea and Mike!!! His mouth looks a little funny, because he was talking to PB the whole time I was drawing him.

I do like the warm feel of it--it's kind of what I'd like for illos for the children's books I'm working on.
