Another paper cut in Stephanie's book

Stephaniesbook02

After I did the first one, I kept wondering what would a papercut look like if it was on a patterned paper rather then a solid color paper. I decided to give it a go (this is actually a page from Harper's Bazaar about Marchesa).

Almost everything went wrong with this after the cut was done, the background didn't come out the color that I wanted, then I used a pen to write the poem and it dripped all over, I had to do this collage thing to cover it up, then I realized the text came out bigger then I expected but couldn't do anything about it by then.
Somehow, though it's far from perfect, I still do like the feel of this piece.

It may have been a pain doing it, but the final effect is wonderful!!!!

It was really fun and very relaxing. There's something very meditative about making something by taking away parts instead of adding on.

It suits your style. I've never done one and wouldn't know how to start!

(Paper cuts are painful!)
