Ash's Book
Collaboration with Michelle:
I'm not really happy with this one. I think it's the long neck bones - I should have found another way to do those. I thought they were good until everything was assembled and glued down and then I hated them but it was too late to change.
Ash's book is going into the mail tomorrow, and in addition to the usual pocket stuffings, I'm including one of my preliminary sketches for the paper collage piece and a test print of the lino block that I did on top of a water-color test for the watercolor piece.

Oh yeah, the wrapping paper background on the collaboration page(s) with Michelle is some paper that I found in this house when we moved in. It's been here for a while, and in typical old-lady fashion, it was the paper that was used on a gift our aunt received. She saved all the wrapping paper that ever came into her possession. And the funny thing is I'm sure she thought she'd use it someday but she never gave gifts - only cards with cash. In cleaning out the closet, I only kept a few interesting bits.
WOW! These are wonderful! Such nice color combinations and expressions, details.
I am leaving tomorrow and will be away and incommunicado about 3 weeks.
Thanks Mary - we'll miss you!
Ballookey, you overachiever you! Both posts are simply ah ma ZING!
That Wilted page is lovely. Also, I like how your neck bones turned out.
Thanks Steve & Andrea. You're very kind. :)
Lovely images, especially WILTED. I get a strong sense of feeling from your art sometimes. I feel exactly that way sometimes.
Oh, and I cannot wait to see what Milo has always wanted. I hope she will post her addition to this, when she completes the image. The stories revealed in some of these collabs between artists is such fun!
Thanks! I can't wait to see what Milo wants too... I thought it was a fun way to start a collaboration. :)
I am blown away with the creative juices flowing. "Very Nice..." All of the work - works.
