Ash's in progress

Nothing much to report except that I'm working on Ash's book. I think I'll wrap it up this weekend. I'm a little slow on this one for a really dumb reason. I know there's a big lag coming up before I'll see the last couple of books, and not much seems to be shifting*, so I sort of got a little down and thought, oh why hurry? But then I realized I didn't want to be "that guy" ;) and got to work.

*But I absolutely LOVE LOVE all the work I have been seeing in the books that are out there.

I am that guy - I know. I am so so so sorry! Life has been super hectic... One million excuses for sure. One of my Mentors from Intel Corporation aka "Big Daddy" committed suicide on Friday.

I am feeling oh so no artsy right now.

Thanks Mary!

Oh no, Mike, I wasn't referring to you at all. You send things very regularly. That's terrible news and I can imagine it would take a while to feel like doing art again. There's quite a break before you'll get another book anyway, I think, so I'd recommend you take your time and get to it when you feel like it.

I love the colros in here.

Oh Mike, that's SO SAD, I'm sorry! :-(

@Mike: Wow, very sorry to hear about your mentor. That's a really good reason for not feeling artsy. Andrea had a good reason for needing some time out recently, too. We all have stuff that gets in the way of creative flow at times :-(

@Ballookey: I get you too, sister. I had this same feeling, wanting to "sit" on a book longer, knowing I may go awhile without... but Aya (who comes after me) is so eager, I feel too guilty holding out on her, HA!

I may jump in with a sketch related post now & again, while I wait (like the bird-cutouts post I did recently). Keeps me in touch with the general art-based flow here, even when the sketchbooks aren't flowing :-)
