Where oh where is Ellen's book?

Just wondering if my Moley is still out there. I haven't seen posts lately...and with the recent "log jams" and missing Moleys I am getting a bit nervous it may be MIA!

First off, love the drawing and the quote Ellen. second off, I wish I could tell you. Some communication from some folks who joined would be nice, great even. I have no idea who has mine as well Ellen, so you aren't the only one.

I'm pretty sure I know where both of yours are. It's a bit of work, but if you go through the blog entries, it's possible to work out. I don't want to name names because people might have their own personal issues to deal with: life, etc... The economy and shit's got people under a lot of stress and i dont want to add to it. I just try to assume the best and hope they work through whatever it is they've got going on.

Public shaming is always an option though, you hard core laggers! LOL ;) Honestly, I hope everything's OK. We just want to know our books will get back to us eventually. Don't make me send a guy!

LOL, I was just explaining the situation to my husband and he said, "Ben Linus knows where the books are. Actually, he doesn't know, but he'll tell you he does. JACOB knows where the books are."

no books are here. The next one schedule to come here is Willie's which I believe is on its way to Steve.

I've been trying to write WHOSe book I am posting for every time I post, so people can keep track.

I had Ellen's book in October-November and from there it went to Mike.

Hey Everyone,

Sooo can't apologize enough for bottle-necking the exchange. Didn't mean to upset people. Shit has really hit the fan in my life. Wanted to make sure I didn't half-ass illustrations in people's books but honestly haven't had a spare moment amongst the chaos. Mailing the books tomorrow.

Afraid I may have to bow out early. This sincerely makes me sad but I can't see things easing up for the next few months and I know everyone is eager to draw. Don't want to cause another delay. That and upsetting people further would make me feel a million times worse than I already do.

So sorry about the shit hitting the fan! Life is like that sometimes.

My life has gone a bit haywire lately in the health department--medical testing etc. And there are so many ways things can go wrong/

I would beg you to stay in, but don't want to add more stress to an already stressed life.

I think if you already have a serious backlog, and it's only going to get worse, then some reevaluating is called for.

I would say that maybe you could take a pass on some of the books and resume working when life lets you. It'd be up to you to speak up and say, "Let me have a book!"

That sounds like a very reasonable plan.

Ash, I just saw your post here now, after emailing in response to Andrea's note. I mimick Ballookey's comment about hoping you might simply let the bottleneck flow thru, but take up the sketching again once you are more settled? Your art is great fun! Have you lost the fire for sketch-exchange completely, or do you just need a rest to regroup? As Ballook said, maybe just letting the books flow & starting anew will help? Think about it...

Thanks for communicating. It's hard to admit when things get overwhelming. Been there :-)

Wow Ash! Do I understand. I have lost my Mother-in-law and dog among other things during this exchange. One thing I treasure in this exchange is seeing that everyone has "stuff" going on. Somehow we manage to move past it and re-connect with our art.
I really hope you can get past this...please do NOT drop out!!!! Giving up on your art is never an option!
