In Gretchen's pocket, with apologies to Aya

I was up a good part of the night with insomnia and made several art pieces, always a bad idea to work when I am tired and without references. But in spite of all that, I liked this piece enough to make a small print for Gretchen's pocket.

It's called "Crash and Burn."

Wow, I LOVE the "brightly backlit" look, the way you "fuzzed" the light & her detail. Very effective way to convey intense light behind her. Is that a filter-button on some art program, or is it a technique you applied? Curious!

I had insomnia the other night and I did the art for this in STUPOR of tiredness on ARTRAGE on the iPad.

Later in the day, I opened it on photoshop and simply used a "soft brush" at a "low opacity" to apply WHITE around the top of the head. Probably could have done it in artrage but was too tired to think of it at the time.
