Up to my necks in books...

Got a package from Amazon today with 3 new moles I ordered right after loosing the new A3.
Then, got Balooky's book from Heidi in the mail! Started working on the new-new A3, but didn't finish my first drawing just yet, still have 4 pages in the old 5"8. It's going to be a busy few days...

Wow. The A-3. Now I see why some people hesitate! For me, the larger the format, the more pressure I feel to do something spectacular... it would somewhat curtail the normal joy I find in using a sketchbook over say, attempting a finished, frameable piece of art? Good for you to dig in!

Glad Ballookey's book arrived safely :-)

WOW! That's a lot of sketchbooks! HAVE FUN working on them!

I got one of those big ones too! But have been afraid to touch it or fear of ruining it, silly I know, but it is SO BIG!!!

I sent Willie's book to Mike several days ago, so I am again without a group Mole. I do have all my own Moles to work on--they never seem quite so urgent.

It's soooo big....

I sort of decided it's not going to be so bad, because I did do double pages on the A4 so surface wise - it's just like a one pager on the A3 (or so I thought).

The first attempt is pretty difficult, I'm just not sure what to do with all this space. I added a lot of large text so then there's less room for the actual drawing.

I think I'm going to get a slightly wider tip pen and maybe then my lines won't feel like they are lost in space.

I'm a bit relived to put it aside for Balooky's book. By now the A4 which was also scary for a while feels very comfortable...

New sketchbooks! Yay. I have an A-3, I took it to protrait drawing class and loved working in it.

It will be years before I get it filled up though.
