Biffybeans: 1st and 2nd pieces in her own book

Moleskine Exchange Round 3 1st in my own book

My 1st entry in my own book. Black Bob Ross Acrylic Gesso (which isn't very black) and Colleen colored pencils. Big mandala.

Moleskine Exchange Round 3 2nd in my own book

2nd entry in my own book. Artist grade watercolors, Liquitex Black Gesso & white Uniball gel pen. The woman on the left seems to be pointing to the left coast.....  another hint to go and visit Portland OR?

When I was making these pieces, it suddenly dawned on my that when I send this book off, I won't see it again for a whole year. Sure, I'll see some of the art online, but to think that it is going to travel the states through the hands of 12 different people... that is just too cool for school. Oh, and not to mention that I get to leave my mark in 11 other books! What fun!

Cool. Yeah, it dawned on me, too, the part about sending off the books. And, making art in other folks' books. All a good practice in letting go.

Lovely! I really like the 3 women (colors & starry bkg). That art may say "go to Portland" to you, but to me, it says "Don't worry, your diet will be a success & you'll have a bikini bod by May!" It's a good omen, I know it is :-)

Both of these are really great! I really love your mandalas, and your style in general really. :)

These are gorgeous! I love the bright colors and stars in the dancing ladies and the mandala is precious!

I love the idea of the black gesso.

I like the energy auras around those women--such vibrance!

I like black gesso, too. I saw a guy painting the other day on black canvas. So many possibilities.
