Why I should never paint or do art when I am sick (or without sleep, as sickness tends to leave me):
I am still sick. :-(
Why I should never paint or do art when I am sick (or without sleep, as sickness tends to leave me):
- I made a lot of stupid mistakes. :-(
- I kept leaving the water color palette open when I wasn't using it and then setting my hand or arm or the Mole in it. :-(
- I worked really hard on a sketch for the next piece and then proceeded to totally ruin it beyond redemption so I have to start all over again.
Luckily, this is my own Mole (round 3), hope things improve before the next one.

Oh Mary, wait until I post the photos of Willie's book. In the end, I think it looks fine, but I REALLY blew it. And recovered, but really blew it first. It happens to everyone.
It's hard to perform well and/or be happy with performance results when one is sick.
I find it hard to do anything when I'm sick... except mope around waiting for change over time (better health, for starters). I think it's great that you were at least motivated to try painting while sick & sleep-deprived!
Thanks Balookey and Hennie.
I am finding it increasing slow recovering from 48-hour bugs or whatever as I age--now what started on Friday is still with me on Tuesday and I feel kind of weak, queasy and disoriented and have given up even trying to work and am just hoping for a timely recovery.
I do hope you recovered the work Ballookey! I always feel so bad when I've done something in someone's book that I don't like. :-(
Then I wish I had never joined the group! :-(
I did redo the sketch for the third drawing and am relatively happy with it, but I don't want to start painting until I feel better.
