Oh... my... God. The way you did this mp3s & "files anywhere" thing? It's so COOL! You have no idea! I just embarked this summer by accident on a reinvestigation & rediscovery of music. Since then, I've been having frequent adventures in whatever I can get my ears on, testing my learning ability (mpgs? iPod? file sharing? music genres unknown to me?) and testing my own talent potential (piano lessons at age 42? yikes!). You are so timely with this!
I am sitting here with my jaw agape... what IS this stuff? Andrea = super duper cool :-)
Thanks Hennie, I listen to A LOT of music, and am constantly making mixes in my head, so it's fun for me too!
Alright, you are learning the piano! That is so awesome. I would love to take guitar lessons ... but I have always been to chicken. Perhaps your adventurous nature will inspire me.
Feel free to hint at what tunes you liked or didn't - that way I can lean more towards that type of music on your mix. I have approx. 8,000 cds ... so there is a great deal to choose from.
8,000 CDs? That can't be right. You meant songs, yes?
If you had 8,000 CDs, well geez... phooey on heaven, when I die I want to go to your house! I'd have to be dead first, tho, so I'd have time (an eternity, actually) to listen to them ALL!!!
P.S. Life's too short to be chicken. Go on, grab a guitar & start now -- the sooner you start, the more time you'll have to get good! I'm hoping to be good by the time I'm 50... ish...
Whew, I was sick last week so I'm just getting around to downloading these and can't wait to give them a listen! Very cool idea, and great way of sharing it!
Last year I actually made a project of it, I listened to every one of them. It took me about 17 months. Got rid of a few old ones that no longer translated. Made room for some new ones. ;)
Yay, I don't have to be dead! I'd only have to live with you for 17 months, which could just seem like an eternity, depending on how we'd get along. HA!

Yeah, I mean CDs. I've been buying them since I was about 14.
I have quite a few records too, but I've never counted those up.
BUT . . . how do you ever listen to them all?

Mary,
Last year I actually made a project of it, I listened to every one of them. It took me about 17 months. Got rid of a few old ones that no longer translated. Made room for some new ones. ;)
I hope it was a FUN project!!!!
I thought we had TOO MANY CDs but we are so far behind you it's laughable.
But we like to listen to the same ones over and over. The ones we like best. We rotate between our favorites and all the others.
Sorry you were sick, Ballookey! WAHN!
